The land in which he had traveled away from had it’s ups and its downs. The family that lived there had been nice, but there was only so much one could take before feeling like their life was just being wasted away. Though he did learn to fight and was rather proud of his skills at it. Still he wanted to find a place to settle down and make something of himself. Copperhead had set out away from home with some of his younger family members in search of adventure and what not, but he had something else in mind too being that he wasn’t getting any younger. He wanted to start a family, he didn’t really care about raising kids, but he wanted a harem of pretty ladies to show off. Shallow? Yes very, but did he care? Nope not at all. Though he hadn’t really came across a land he liked. There had been some mountains, and those where all good and fine, but he wasn’t really looking for a harsh place like where he was raised.
So when he came across a nice valley with tall grass the steed paid attention to things very closely. He couldn’t smell another here, nor had he spotted any signs. This excited him for so far he liked what he saw. Cantering across the tall grass his gold eyes soaked in the sights. The yellow flowers that traveled across the landscape gave the land a pleasant scent one he rather enjoyed. Strolling over the land he came to a nice stream and lowered his head to drink the cool water.
Ears perked as he listened to the sounds around him and heard nothing but the wind breezing through the valley. It was peaceful here. He liked it and therefore it would be his. Lifting his head he arched his neck before rearing and calling out for all to hear him. “I, Copperhead claim this valley as my own. It shall be known from this day forth as Elysium!” His voice was full of pride as he landed and stomped a hoof against the ground before standing there and looking rather smug with himself.
