Wanted ads are for specific characters needed for roleplay. For example, they can include individuals that affected a character's past and have come back to affect their present, individuals that are needed to impact or change their future, or can be used in the event that you'd like to roleplay a character's past, but need a specific individual for that purpose. Below are some rules and overall guidelines pertaining to the use of the wanted ads. Please read over them carefully.
- If you choose to play the part of a character in the wanted ad, you will need to fill out an application for them in the Free Spirits board. This application will need to be approved by a member of staff before you may begin roleplaying. We ask that you state if the character is a wanted ad character in the title of your application so that we can double check to make sure everything adhere's to the creators specifications.
- Wanted ad characters that have been claimed and created must be kept active, just like original characters. Failure to keep them active will result in them being placed for adoption which will halt any further threads and posts with that character until adopted by another member.
- If you create a wanted ad, you must understand that you cannot dictate every move that character makes on site. Members who claim wanted ads will be allowed to have territory, rule a herd, and interact with as many others as the roleplayer wishes with that character.
- When you create a wanted ad, you may be specific in personality traits and history. However, we ask that you do not dictate appearance unless their appearance is specifically described in your character's history when they were created. With that in mind, you may dictate certain stand out features, such as breed, scars, deformities, etc.
- Creators of wanted ads do get to choose who plays their wanted ad character. You can have members create an interview style reply to your thread or have them create a post within your thread as if they are playing that character. You may even opt for a combination of both. This is to ensure that the creator of the wanted ad finds someone they deem fit to play the character properly.
- If the character is to be killed off during the roleplay, creators must specify that within the ad. On that same note, creators must also specify important events that will take place with that character, if there are any. This will eliminate any confusion or disappointment to members who have chosen to play said character and come to adore them, only to find that they die in the end.
Rules may be added as our site grows and we take notice of certain actions. Please check back regularly to keep up-to-date.
