When a herd leader is choosing to steal a herd member or yearling from another herd, that information will be posted anonymously within this board. It will be done anonymously by sending a PM to a member of staff with the information detailed below. How you go about stealing is entirely up to you, but we highly recommend using riddle or poem form so that you will have a higher chance of success. You will be required to use vague descriptions of your character, the territory you're stealing from, and the character you are trying to steal to give the leader a chance of blocking your steal. The steal thread can be as long as you'd like, but we require at least six lines/sentences in which to add your vague descriptions.
Herd leaders may block a steal by replying to the thread if they believe they know who the character and thief in question are. Their second-in-command may also block a steal on their behalf. In order to successfully block a steal, the herd leader/second-in-command must name the correct thief and herd member. They may only block one herd member at a time and may only try to block once every 24 hours. If the herd leader has already made a block that day, the second-in-command cannot attempt a block. Blocking will be done using the form provided and filling in the designated text. The steal thread will remain active for 1 week. If the herd leader or second-in-command has not blocked the correct character from being stolen away along with the correct thief within that time, it will be a success. If they do block the correct character and thief, the steal will be a failure and the herd leader may choose to punish their herd member and/or battle the thief if they so choose. Herd leaders may attempt to steal the herd member/yearling again in 2 weeks. Additionally, any herd member involved in a successful/failed steal cannot be stolen by a different leader until 2 weeks time.
NOTE: Stallions who are not herd leaders may not be stolen from harem. They must sneak away from their leader.
If someone is on hiatus and they have posted in the absences board, you will not be allowed to steal from their character's herd until they return. This is to give everyone a fair chance to block. The only exception is if the second-in-command is still active. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask either via PM or in our c-box.
Below are the forms that you will use. Please PM them to a member of staff and they will post the thread within this board.
EXAMPLE STEAL POST: For this example, we will use Sally, a palomino mare, and Edgar, a black shire. They will reside in Exampleland from The Deserts and Sally is attempting to be stolen by Sam, a bay stallion who resides in Thieffield located in the mountains. You don't need to use this example and you could be even more vague than this.
CHARACTER NAME: Sam
TERRITORY NAME: Thieffield
TERRITORY LOCATION: The Mountains
TARGET: Sally
TERRITORY NAME: Exampleland
TERRITORY LOCATION: The Deserts
LEADER NAME: Edgar
THE POST:
I intrude in a chocolate blur
If I'll find her, I can't be sure (here, we have given a description of Sam. He is a bay/brown colored horse)
She comes from sun-bleached lands
There isn't much of anything but sand. (could be referring to desert or oceanside territories)
Her coat blends with the landscape
Her light hair will fly with our escape (here, we have given a description of Sally. She is palomino with cream colored hair)
With a coat as dark as his soul
His cruelty has taken it's toll. (edgar is black in color and we can determine from using the qualifier 'his' that the leader is a stallion)
I wish to bring her home
To the high peaks where I roam (could be referring to the mountains or canyons as both have high land areas)
